“Entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship. It drives everything: Job creation… poverty alleviation… innovation!” – Elliott Bisnow
Lateef didn’t really have a plan in high school. He was a pretty good student and test taker but didn’t have the right support and environment. He had the smarts to go straight to college but didn’t have the funding, scholarships and hadn’t even taken the SAT! However, he knew he didn’t want to go from a part-time student employee at Wendy’s to a full-time employee after graduation. So two weeks after graduating high school, Lateef joined the Navy!
He wasn’t particularly excited about being in the military but this was precisely the prescription he needed to mature from a boy at 17 into a young man with a skill set. He learned many valuable lessons and experiences along the way. These experiences through the navy and eventually college would give him the confidence to leave the military as a Naval Officer of 10 years to venture out and pursue his new-found entrepreneurial passions.
Lateef would do like so many others in holding down a regular 8-5 job while spending his evenings, nights and weekends chasing his dreams! He would have many successes and failures along the way which are truly one and the same. His first entrepreneur idea was to start an independent record company. Being from the South Bronx, the birthplace of hip-hop, he as first-hand exposure to pioneering artists and a passion for the music! Lateef would wear many hats in the process as a songwriter, artist, producer, web designer, graphic art designer, studio owner, promoter and manager. He would also slowly learn that it certainly is possible to wear TOO many hats!
Like many other successful entrepreneurs, Lateef had to learn to surround himself with the talents of other individuals. One rule that applies to all of us is that there are only so many hours in a day! We still have to eat, sleep and take care of our bodies. Otherwise you will run yourself in to the ground. Also, wearing too many hats, might make you proficient in a lot of areas but it is extremely difficult to be great in all of them! After creating a decent local buzz and a nice size following, Lateef decided the music industry just wasn’t all it was cracked up to be! He continuously found himself in environments that conflicted with his own inner values. He enjoyed the creative side of the music and performing but not the late nights, bars, clubs, drugs and association with quite a few unstable personalities.
Lateef would learn a lot of valuable lessons from this early experience and would take his talents on into other business ventures including real estate, financial investment services, insurance, coaching and building brands. Lateef now shares many of those experiences and lessons learned with his audiences to help them dig deeper in identifying their true passions and avoiding common pitfalls in the process!

“I’ve known Lateef since we were students at Savannah State University. He and I served as midshipmen at the Universities’ Naval ROTC unit, where he served as a constant motivator for me and the other student leaders. Occasionally, Lateef would also tutor me on especially difficult mathematics concepts. Through his selfless dedication to me and the other NROTC midshipmen, Lateef displayed his caring leadership, attention to detail, tireless work ethic and dependability. “Lateef Warnick promotes openness, diversity and tolerance, but more importantly the appreciation of good qualities in others. Paradoxical as it may sound, I think Lateef has managed to combine and connect his business and financial skills, and to some extent, his military training to create something much bigger, but also much more fundamental – a spiritual grounding! Lateef as a result of this spiritual wellness through his Concept YOUtopia & 1 S.O.U.L forum, encourages others to share their spiritual experiences, beliefs and insights thus promoting openness and diversity.”
“Lateef is an enthusiastic, friendly and qualified person whose energy is infectious. He knows what he wants and is willing to achieve that goal. He has a background of hard work and training and his ambition and discipline will not only achieve what he seeks but will help everyone he works with. He is destined for great things.”

“As a Christian, I’m a practitioner of Indian yoga and Buddhist mindfulness meditation. In addition, I’ve spent many years observing and participating in the ceremonies of the Ojibwe Uti and Lakota tribes. I’m also a lifelong student of comparative religion and philosophy. This gives me a good background to evaluate Lateef’s knowledge of spiritual disciplines like Yoga. He has a good overall knowledge of spiritual practices, metaphysics, new thought and mysticism. I believe his spiritual background and knowledge, as well as his previous Navy and business backgrounds, give him much insight and expertise to be the CEO of his current spiritual social network.”
